Aviation Engineering National Practice Leader Chris Reis will moderate a panel on safety and risk management on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 10:15 a.m. The session will cover Safety Management Systems (SMS) and lessons learned from implementing the new 5200-37A standards and how to expand and improve CSPP plans and documents. At the end of this session, participants will be able to comprehend the four components of a Safety Management System, describe regulatory integration of SMS into FAA regulatory processes, comprehend the lessons learned from implementation of SMS, and identify how the aeronautical process, SRM, SMS, and CSPPs are related.
