An unapologetic advocate for railroad grade crossing safety, Joanna is a national expert in Railroad and Light Rail Traffic Signal Preemption and safety. She has worked in the private sector and for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation as the state’s Traffic Signal Systems Engineer. Fun fact: Joanna loves guest lecturing and presenting on grade crossing safety whenever she can if for no other reason than to terrify a driver, or future driver, from ever stopping their vehicle on a crossing by sharing true stories from the field.
