Combating Environmental Racism Through Stormwater Retrofit Project Prioritization

Kari Nichols, PE, Engineering Manager, Water Resources, will present a white paper titled “Combating Environmental Racism Through Stormwater Retrofit Project Prioritization.” She will present this paper during the technical session titled “Leveraging Stormwater Infrastructure to Build a Better Community,” on Wednesday, October 4, at 10:30 a.m. in Room S403b – Level 4. Her presentation focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion, public communication and outreach, and stormwater and green infrastructure. This session is for those wishing to learn about these topics at the intermediate level. Attendees will have the opportunity to look at methods communities use to take on green stormwater development while prioritizing disadvantaged communities.
