Please join me in welcoming Eric Laing and Dave Clawson to Mead & Hunt’s Aviation East Planning Department! I am really excited about the value these key hires bring to the team.
Eric and Dave both come with extensive experience in economic impact studies of all types and sizes, as well as system planning for a variety of states and regions across the country. They also have been involved in airport master planning and airport noise modeling. Their presence has allowed us to open a new office in Cincinnati (right by Lunken Airport), significantly expanding our Eastern Aviation Business Unit. This is in line with the Aviation group’s long-term goals.
Eric is a licensed pilot and veteran of the Navy. He says that the people are what really sold Mead & Hunt for him. “I have been especially impressed by the passion for aviation I’ve seen from my colleagues here. On my second day with the firm, I saw firsthand the value they place on client relationships when they put me in a Cessna 310 so that I could visit a client in a timely fashion.”
Similarly, Dave says he chose Mead & Hunt for two reasons. “First, the firm’s values of putting people first, doing the right thing, and doing what makes sense match my personal and professional values. Second, with so many longtime employees, it’s clear that Mead & Hunt values, respects, and appreciates its team members.” Dave previously worked for the Columbus Regional Airport Authority in Columbus, Ohio, where he contributed significantly to their noise program.
Eric and Dave’s combined 40 years of experience is a fantastic asset to our Aviation group. Their breadth of experience has allowed them to jump right into various projects, and their enthusiasm and passion for aviation is evident in every interaction I’ve had with them. I know these additions will greatly benefit our clients. I am looking forward to what we can all accomplish together moving forward.
