Indian Land, South Carolina is rapidly becoming the next suburban community to feed the ever-growing appetite of Charlotte, North Carolina. Lancaster County School District responded to the influx of development and residences. In 2016, Lancaster County School District proposed and passed a $250+ million-dollar bond referendum that included the new construction of a high school deliberately positioned in Indian Land.
In 2018, Indian Land High School broke ground on a 145+ acre project site. The project included the construction of a 250,000+ square-foot high school with associated gymnasium, auxiliary gymnasium, athletic offices, 1000-seat auditorium/ theater, state-of-the-art media center, career and technical education building, athletic facilities, athletic practice facilities, bus/transportation depot, and more. Mead & Hunt provided construction services for the project, including International Code Council (ICC) Chapter One (1) Building Inspection(s), ICC Chapter Seventeen (17) Special Inspection(s), and construction materials testing and sampling.
