New satellites improve television broadcast

WBTW-TV wanted to consolidate their satellite dishes at their Myrtle Beach station. Because of its location, the site setback requirements required special attention. We worked with the planning and zoning staff to get a favorable interpretation of the front lot setback requirement. This led to approval for the new satellite dishes.  We then followed the project through the permitting process.

The site has 1.86 acres and is located in a Highway Commercial zoning district. Television stations, including transmission towers, are permitted by the zoning regulations but review and approval is required. With our assistance, the client was able to add new satellites and improve their broadcast.
