Mead & Hunt enters North Carolina market

North CarolinaMead & Hunt is opening a new office in Raleigh, North Carolina. The office will initially focus on providing highway and bridge design services to municipal and state clients. The office is located at 127 W. Hargett Street, Suite 504.

“It has been at the top of our list of places to open a transportation office for many years,” said Rick Plymale, PE, Vice President of Mead & Hunt. “With offices north and south of Raleigh, and a strong presence in this market – it only makes sense.”

Mead & Hunt has more than 30 offices including East Coast locations in Lexington and Myrtle Beach (SC), Richmond (VA) and Charleston (WV). Also the company has provided transportation services since the 1940s.

“As a 30-year native to the area, I know firsthand all that Raleigh has to offer. The new location will expand Mead & Hunt’s geographic reach and allow my team to provide local services,” said Joel Lee, PE, Raleigh Office Transportation Department Manager of Mead & Hunt. “It comes as no surprise that Raleigh is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country and we’re glad to be part of that growth.” He added that he anticipates his local clients will appreciate the expanded services available from Mead & Hunt.

Mead & Hunt provides professional services in planning, design, engineering and architecture serving markets nationwide that include aviation, dams and hydropower, food, industrial, military, municipal infrastructure, highways and bridges.
