Mead & Hunt, a national architecture-engineering consulting firm, is further expanding its municipal water services. New National Water Market Technical Leader Chris Hill, who will be based out of the Tampa office, brings national water experience to the team.
Hill joined the firm with the purpose of expanding Mead & Hunt’s municipal water presence nationwide. He brings more than 25 years of diverse experience in water supply and treatment. Hill will be responsible for the assessment and growth of Mead & Hunt’s technical capabilities and expertise, further establishing the firm’s position as a thought leader in the water industry.
“The municipal market continues to face water quality and water supply challenges that must be addressed. We expect continued fast-paced growth as our clients respond to increased public concern about the water they drink,” said Amy Squitieri, Mead & Hunt Vice President and Water Group Leader. “The municipal water market is constantly changing, and Chris and the rest of our team must evolve and grow with it to deliver what our clients want.”
Hill added to this sentiment, stating that Mead & Hunt is focusing its efforts to grow its national water capabilities in these evolving areas, thus furthering the firm’s “one water” market strategy.
“We have the depth of capabilities to address a wide variety of municipal water issues across the country,” said Hill. “The water industry in the U.S. is evolving rapidly to account for issues such as emerging contaminants, water reuse, and corrosion. Mead & Hunt is poised to meet these complex needs.”
Mead & Hunt has grown its water capabilities exponentially in recent years, especially within the Florida market. Now, the company is continuing to expand its national water capabilities beyond Florida.
“Florida represents an important and growing market for municipal water services, but it is not the only one. Increasing our national water service capabilities is an important step toward expanding these services to clients nationwide,” said Hill.
The employee-owned consulting firm remains strong on ENR‘s Top 500 design firm list with a national ranking of 139th in 2018. Mead & Hunt was named by CE News as one of the top 10 engineering companies to work for in the nation. The firm employs about 700 employees from 30+ offices located across the nation.
