Kris Samples has joined Mead & Hunt as the firm’s Florida Water Market Leader. Based in Tampa, Florida, Kris’s strong technical skills combined with extensive project management and business development experience will be a significant asset to the firm’s water, wastewater, and water resources practice.
Kris has been responsible for the execution of multiple water and wastewater engineering projects throughout his career. Specializing in client management, pump hydraulics, gravity sewer system design, pipeline design, and construction oversight, he has served as a senior project manager for projects over $2 million in design fees, with a proven track record delivering substantial value to clients. His strong technical skillset, along with considerable business development and successful relationship building experience, combine to allow Kris to facilitate the expansion of Mead & Hunt’s Florida water practice.
Mead & Hunt has been working to expand our water-wastewater services when and where it makes sense for the needs of our clients and nation. The swift growth in the firm’s Tampa office and corresponding expansion of water/wastewater services in the region is a prime example of this: an expanding population in the southern US drives increased water infrastructure needs. The addition of Kris’s skillset is just one facet enabling the firm’s necessary growth in this region. His strong background in successful project delivery with consistent client satisfaction will allow us to continue to grow our footprint in the Florida water market and beyond.
In addition, the high ethical standards that drive Kris’s work directly align with Mead & Hunt’s deep-rooted values, making his addition an ideal fit. According to Brad Blais, Mead & Hunt Vice President and Water Market Leader,
“The addition of Kris’s experience will be a significant advantage to the Mead & Hunt team. When the team is strengthened, ultimately our clients and communities benefit.”
Kris echoed this sentiment, stating,
“I look forward to this opportunity to facilitate workable, sustainable water/wastewater solutions across Florida and beyond. Working with the rapidly growing Tampa water team, I am excited to see what we can accomplish together.”
