Deicing and stormwater management conference

Posted in: Aviation, Environmental

This week, Airports Council International – North America, Airlines 4 America and Regional Airline Association will host the Deicing and Stormwater Management Conference in Arlington, Virginia. It looks like a great agenda with participation from airports, industry groups and consultants.

Dean Mericas will be participating in two sessions at the conference.  He’ll give an update on ACRP Project 02-32, Understanding Nuisance Microbial Biofilms in Receiving Waters Impacted by Airport Deicing Activities, as part of a session on deicing research. Dean will also moderate a session that will include case studies from US and Canadian airports.

Please look for Dean if you’re attending the conference; he’s always interested in hearing what you’ve got going on. And, stay tuned for a series of  blog posts from Dean on recent developments in the deicing and environmental compliance world of airports.
