Two lifetime achievement awards for our CEO
With a passion for elevating the industry, furthering the nation’s infrastructure, and doing the right thing, Raj Sheth has led Mead & Hunt as CEO and supported industry growth alongside his peers. Because of that leadership, Raj has been recognized with two Lifetime Achievement Awards this year.
On March 23, Mead & Hunt CEO Raj Sheth received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Wisconsin. According to ACEC WI, “the Lifetime Achievement award honors the legacy of members who had a profound impact on both the organization and the engineering profession. It was developed to recognize an elite group of influential members for significant contributions of the course of a career.
“Raj exemplifies the spirit of the Lifetime Achievement Award for his unceasing contributions to ACEC WI and engineering in Wisconsin. He served on the Transportation Committee for over a decade and also served on the Board of Directors. One of his biggest accomplishments within ACEC WI was his role as National PAC champion. In his five years as champion, he spurred members to get involved nationally. Because of his actions, Wisconsin met its goal early and has maintained that tradition.”
Earlier this year, Raj was named the Lifetime Achievement Award winner for In Business magazine’s Executives of the Year feature.
Raj was given the honor “in large measure because of Mead & Hunt’s status as a bleeding-edge, creative class company,” according to the magazine article. As the company’s leader for the past 24 years, Raj has helped steer our firm’s direction. The article goes on to say that “during (Raj’s) tenure, Mead & Hunt has grown organically and through acquisitions to more than 30 offices and more than 640 employees, including 190 in Dane County and 250 in Wisconsin. The firm’s billings increased from $10 million to over $108 million, and it has been profitable every year (Raj) has been at the helm.”
Those of us who have been Mead & Hunt’ers for a while are no strangers to Raj’s impact both inside and outside of the company. We’ve witnessed his community action and commitment to client success; we’ve also experienced his mentorship, guidance, and forward-thinking nature.
Raj is still leading an active career and will continue to “do the right thing” (a favorite Raj motto) by Mead & Hunt employees, our clients and partners, the design consulting industry, and the communities where we do business. No doubt, his impact will continue to grow. Congrats, Raj!
