ADC50 Committee’s midyear meeting date and call for participation

Posted in: Cultural Resources

It is that time of the year again to propose your ideas for the upcoming Transportation Research Board Committee on Historic and Archeological Preservation in Transportation (ADC50) mid-year meeting. This year the Federal Highway Administration is sponsoring this event, which will be held at the FHWA Resource Center in Lakewood, Colorado, on July 15-18.

The meeting will include a diverse program that includes two full days of multiple-track sessions focused on topics relevant to transportation and cultural resource professionals, and the project challenges and successes we experience.

ADC50 invites proposals from individuals who wish to present individual papers or themed sessions at the 2018 midyear meeting. Papers and presentations that fall into one of the following general topic areas are suggested:

  • Emerging technologies
  • Exceptional resources from the recent past
  • Creative mitigation
  • The interstate: Mitigating past and current project impacts
  • Other suggested topic of interest

If you have an idea for a session, would like to be a session moderator or would like more information please email me at emily.pettis@meadhunt.com (I’m ADC50’s Committee Chair). Presentation proposals are due by April 30.

If you can’t make a presentation, attend the meeting. It’s a great opportunity to learn from other transportation professionals. Additional meeting details are forthcoming.
